Swim21 accredited at Skill Development, Harpenden Swimming Club are a friendly but competitive club based in Hertfordshire.

We welcome swimmers of abilities ranging from stroke improvement to nationals and our coaching team run sessions five days a week.



Harpenden are a small but effective club, and importantly every member counts. Our target is to develop each individual swimmer to their optimum, to equip them with all the skills to achieve this and build up a strong competitive team with strength in depth. Swimmers are taught to set targets, achieve them and develop into thoroughly rounded swimmers able to do all events. We emphasise medleys and longer distances with the younger swimmers, developing their sprint potential as they get older. We aim to get every swimmer into competition at an appropriate standard.



The club competes in the Hertfordshire Swimming Leagues, Hertfordshire County Championships and East Region Championships. We also partake in numerous open meets throughout the year, and hold internal galas.



Alongside the coaches we have a dedicated team of volunteers on the committee who enable the club to run smoothly, and numerous officials who help at events ranging from our internal galas to the regional championships.
